As a resident of Heritage Village, you are a member of the Heritage Village Foundation and entitled to the use of the recreational and cultural facilities.
You may participate in any one of the more than 100 activities, from woodworking to tennis, camera club to investment club. It's all here for you to enjoy.
The Activities Building
Center of social, cultural and recreational activities. Auditorium. Gymnasium. Sauna. Whirlpool. Meeting Rooms.
The Women's Fireside Club
Lounges. Fireside room. Card rooms. Complete kitchen facilities.
The Men's Club
Pool and Billiard room. Complete kitchen. Rooms for playing cards, games, reading and relaxing.
Swimming Pools
An oversize, heated outdoor pool with cabanas at the main activities center. Three additional pools, one with picnic pavilion, are located in other convenient areas of the Village.
The Meeting House
Rooms for card playing and music. Lounge and library. Gardening workroom. Print shop. Auditorium. Kitchen. Charming patio facing a picturesque pond.
The Stable Studios
Converted stable with separate studio areas for painting, sculpture, ceramics and pewter.
The River Gardens
A multi-acre tract alongside the Pomperaug River reserved for residents to cultivate flower and vegetable gardens.
The Village Library
This facility supplements the main library in the town of Southbury.
The Wildlife Area
A 110-acre tract reserved for wildlife and for special hiking trails under the auspices of the Village Hiking Club.
Tennis and Paddle Tennis
Facilities for both tennis and paddle tennis, located scenically by one of the swimming pool areas.
Winship Barn
Woodworking and metal working workshop equipped with machines and materials for making anything from shelves and bird houses to antique repros and violins.
All of the activities are private facilities and therefore not available for tour.
